Celebrating 15 Years of Evolt Charging with Westmorland

Westmorland has always taken a unique approach to motorway services, creating places that reflect their surroundings and celebrate local produce. That philosophy also extends to sustainable transport, delivered through a long-term partnership with Evolt Charging. Together, the two businesses have built a charging network designed around reliability, ease of use, and customer experience.

The collaboration has already gained recognition within the industry. At the EVIES 2024, held in early November, Westmorland received both Charging Destination of the Year and Motorway Service Electrification of the Year. The judges praised its customer-focused infrastructure, describing the dedication to user experience as “very commendable.” More recently, Westmorland was also placed second in the Global Convenience Store Awards – Best EV Hub in the World 2025 category and has been shortlisted again for EVIES 2025 Charging Destination of the Year with Gloucester Services.

This year also marks Evolt Charging’s 15th anniversary — a milestone celebrated not only as a company achievement, but also with the drivers who rely on its network every day. As part of the celebration, Evolt has released a new short video showcasing the award-winning Gloucester Services — a demonstration of what “good” looks like when thoughtful design and practical infrastructure come together.

And the work doesn’t stop here. As the partnership between Westmorland and Evolt Charging continues to evolve, plans are already in place to expand infrastructure across additional sites, ensuring the network keeps pace with growing demand.
