EV infrastructure in Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury Borough Council is actively supporting the roll-out of EV charging infrastructure as part of its carbon reduction programme. Together with local businesses and other organisations, the council aims to:

  • Expand the number of public EV charge points

  • Offer accessible charging wherever possible

  • Position Tewkesbury as a welcoming destination for EV drivers

  • Promote sustainable transport choices for all

The installation will provide a significant upgrade to Tewkesbury’s EV infrastructure, giving drivers more confidence that charging will be available when they arrive.

What’s next for Tewkesbury EV charging?

As the project progresses, further EV installations will roll out across other council-managed car parks, building a cleaner, more connected future for the entire borough.

This initiative is part of a broader programme to install more charge points in borough council-owned car parks, part-funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.
