Our partnership with Cornwall Council

Cornwall’s EV infrastructure

Cornwall Council are working towards the adoption of sustainable mobility. By officially recognising a Climate Emergency in 2019, they have made it their mission to promote the widespread take up of electric vehicles (EV) throughout the county through the provision of an extensive and accessible EV structure.

The demands of Cornwall are unique. With the need to simultaneously supply the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors, through a cohesive EV network.

They have been working in partnership with us for many years to support this initiative and drive progress, and to date we have delivered up to 113 charging units (226 points) across Cornwall.

What’s next?

To support their plans to become carbon neutral by 2030, we’ll be working in partnership with Cornwall Council, to supply, install, maintain, and operate electric vehicle charging points throughout the county, with a mix of 7kW AC, 22kW AC and 50kW DC chargers.

What types of EV chargers can I find in Cornwall?

The network utilises a combination of charger types across Cornwall from Launceston to Newlyn and many locations in between.

Each year Cornwall welcomes many visitors, the plan is to help provide ample access to EV charge points for visitors, whilst maintaining a consistent supply for residents.
