15 Years of Powering Change: Sarah’s story from service to the core of Evolt Charging

As we continue our series celebrating 15 years of Evolt Charging, we’re meeting the people who make the connections work behind the scenes. This time, we shine a light on Sarah Richardson — our Service Team Manager at head office in Hemel Hempstead — who, along with her teams, works at the very heart of the business. 

Sarah describes her role as making sure everything flows smoothly between departments, engineers, and customers.
Or, as she puts it: 

Leading three teams — planning, quotes coordination, and second-line support — Sarah’s world is a blend of front-end customer interaction, back-end processes, and everything in between. She works closely with technical support, field service engineers, projects, and customer experience to keep installations and maintenance on track. 

Joining Evolt four and a half years ago from a background in social housing, she saw the EV industry as fresh, fast-moving and full of potential.

One career highlight?

Helping to bring in the Dynamics 365 system, which boosted continuity and planning across teams. 

Of course, there are challenges — managing varied customer expectations is a big one — but Sarah thrives on the variety. 

Outside of work, she’s an avid reader with a dream of one day running her own cosy coffee-and-reading hub, complete with book club.

Her favourite authors? Linda LaPlante and James Patterson.
