Evolt Charging Powers EV rollout with well known franchise
Evolt Charging is accelerating electric vehicle (EV) charger installations at McDonald’s franchise locations across the UK, thanks to a streamlined process tailored for a mix of brand new and busy, fully operational live sites.
The rollout is gaining significant momentum, with multiple locations now live, including Ilkley, Ellesmere Port and Lincolnshire Showground. Whilst others at differing stages of development in Ammanford, Ashford and Aylesbury.
To meet the pace and demands of McDonald’s franchise operations, Evolt Charging has developed a bespoke installation model that aligns with their fast-track “drag and drop” infrastructure approach. This ensures minimal disruption to restaurant activity while delivering reliable, future-proof EV charging solutions.
Under this method, McDonald’s on-site contractors handle groundwork, ducting and cabling. Evolt Charging then steps in with the AC charger hardware, to complete the final connections, commissioning and EIC testing often without needing to visit the site in person.
From initial contact to go-live, installations are typically completed within three months, with foundations laid about four weeks prior and commissioning finalised five days after installation.
